PDRM traffic/security department Head of Department (HOD), Suprintendant Hamzah Ahmad said total numbers of police officers and personnel will be increased from last year by 65 person. Police officials have been increased due to the additional traffic situation and race route that involves a number of rural areas. Police has identified 2 routes that are deemed to be difficult and challenging to control which is Gerik to Tanah Merah and Kuantan to Bera. "These two routes are usually quite slippery when it rains apart its the snaky nature. I hope that the convoy will follow the instructions. I also would like to remind that everyone keep to the speed limit, practice safe driving and keep the vehicles at a safe distance from one another. "We advise everyone in the convoy to use the hazard light in the bad weather," he added.

To the locals in the vicinity of the race routes, Hamzah requested that everyone especially the road-users to follow the instructions of the authorities. This is to ensure there will be no zig-zagging and cutting lanes as the convoy passes by as it is dangerous to the convoy and other road-user respectively. "The event is held annually and the race will be followed world wide via the print and electronic media. We really hope that everyone to follow instruction," he said.
